Blue Lotus

Our Origin

Taprobana Naturals

A small apothecary on the island the old maps called Taprobana — built for people who want to know exactly which hillside their tea came from.

Who we are

We are a family-run studio in Sri Lanka selling whole dried blue and white lotus, Calea dream herb, soursop leaf, and true Ceylon cinnamon and pepper. Everything in the collection is grown or wildcrafted in the central highlands and the wet southern belt, then dried slowly under the sun — never fumigated, never irradiated, never bulked out with fillers.

We started because most dried botanicals sold online arrive as anonymous powder in unmarked bags. A dried petal is only as honest as its provenance, so every pouch carries the specimen number, the botanical name and the region it came from. When you order from us, you are buying from the people who gathered it.

Taprobana Naturals is run by a two-person team: one of us works with the growers and dries, sorts and packs each batch; the other handles the shop, the journal and every order message. We ship worldwide from Sri Lanka, and checkout is completed on our Etsy shop so that payment, delivery options and buyer protection are handled on a platform you already trust.

How we work

Gathered by hand, dried by the sun, posted from the island.

Blossoms are picked at the right hour by growers we know by name and are never strip-harvested. Leaves are shade-dried to keep their colour; spices are cured and hand-sorted before packing. Each order is sealed in a kraft pouch and posted within two to three business days, with tracking sent to you by email.

Talk to us

Questions about a specimen, an order, or a wholesale batch?

Write to us directly — one of the two of us reads every message, usually within a day. We are happy to talk about how a botanical was gathered, what it smells like, or how to brew it.
